ASTERIX on-board computer

It controls and supervises the operation of on-board devices, including: passenger information system - boards, information monitors, voice announcements, ticket validators, on-board ticket machines, passenger counting system and a video monitoring system installed in the vehicle. Asterix also supervises the recording and storage of data transmission for the controlled systems and the downloaded data. It has a driver assistant that identifies and informs about the scheduled departure time, its compliance with the timetable and any deviations. Asterix receives and analyzes the GPS signal and works with the tachograph. The control unit is dedicated to recipients from the public transport market.
