Today information display systems are essential part of passenger information systems as well as an important tender requirement imposed by public transport organizers. Such displays are used in urban or intercity transport vehicles to inform about line numbers, the route and intermediate stops. They can display any content with simple iconographic and typographical symbols. The displayed content is managed by a control unit that supervises the type of displayed content and changes it according to needs or the up-to-date timetable. A few types of displays are distinguished, depending on technology used (LED, Filp-Dot) and functional properties (front, side, numeric). Some of them can have other functions, according to the user’s needs.
